Bach Cantata BWV 147

Cantata comes from the Italian word cantare, which means sing.

Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben (Heart and mouth and deed and life), features well-known music of "Jesu, joy of man's desiring". This Cantata was first performed on 2 July 1723 in Leipzig, and now performed by the Scots' Church Choir and Melbourne Baroque Orchestra, conducted by Douglas Lawrence on 28 February 2016 at Scots' Church as part of 11am service.
